I Love It Here

We arrived in Colorado on Thursday afternoon and I just love it here!  Colorado feels so clean and new to me.  Everyone appears to be healthy and happy.  It's beautiful and in a weird way, I sort of feel at home here.

After my appointment at CCRM yesterday morning (my right ovary seems to not want to respond much at all, but I have 8-10 follicles that are making up for it on my left side), we headed over to Tinsley Trail for an early morning hike/walk.  The view of the mountains from pretty much anywhere you are in this state, is just amazing to me.
After our hike/walk, we headed back to the hotel for breakfast and I added to the 5lbs I've already gained from infertility meds this cycle by consuming a ridiculous waffle with a giant dollop of whipped cream.  I then treated myself to a manicure and pedicure while Nick golfed and then we relaxed for the rest of the day by the pool.  It was a great day.  BUT, the greatest part of my day?  That was when we walked into our hotel room last night after visiting friends of ours from college who live in Colorado Springs.  We walked into our room and there were two beautiful bouquets of flowers from two of my best blogging friends, Amanda and Suzanne.  I truly couldn't sleep last night because I was thinking about how lucky I am to have met such amazing women throughout my ordeal with infertility.  While infertility has been the absolute worst part in my journey throughout life so far, this horrible season has also blessed me, beyond measure, with some of the most caring, loving and supportive friends that there are.  And for that, I am lucky.  Truly lucky.

Awe, what a nice surprise to have flowers! Glad you are enjoying CO. Isn't it gorgeous? The people there inspire mem biking up all the huge hills along the roads and there is no shortage of healthy organic foods in restaurants. We almost moved there, but got scared of the winters and chose Austin instead. If you haven't hopped over there yet, make sure to check out Boulder. :)

Glad to see you are making some lemonade with those lemons and that your left ovary is kicking butt! Enjoy CO!

Long time reader but first time poster- hope everything goes great in Colorado. We just finished our cycle at ccrm and are waiting on ccs results. Your blog has been such an inspiration to me. I will be praying for you this week. Ps there are several great ice cream places in Denver! Our favorite was Bonnie bray!

Aw! That is so sweet that they did that! I would have to agree that this journey has really brought out some friends and how much they really care about me. :) Glad you are loving Colorado! Praying!

Glad you like my home state! The "Taste of Colorado" is going on this weekend in downtown Denver. Check it out if you are still here (Google it for directions). Avoid I-25 Sunday in the afternoon - CU plays CSU at Bronco's stadium (or stop by and come see the game - root for CU!). Good luck with everything.

Your left ovary seems to be kicking butt! Hopefully your right side will decide to contribute at least one or two as well. I'm so glad you are at least able to enjoy Colorado while you are there. The friendships we make in the midst of our deepest heartache are truly a blessing. That is soooo sweet of your bloggie friends to send you flowers. I will have to make due with sending you virtual hugs and best wishes for this to be your best cycle yet!

Colorado looks gorgeous. At least there's something positive about having to travel all the way there, and you have lots to take your mind off things. Have fun and grow some great eggs!

Thinking about you! Glad you're enjoying Denver. We love it there too. One of the silver linings about handing over our life savings to CCRM, right. ;)

Cannot WAIT for another update. Sounds like things are certainly going well this time. Denver is such an amazing area, we've actually been considering moving out there. Wish it could have been a bit sooner, would have made all of this easier!!

Hope the rest of your weekend was just as wonderful as it started. Thinking about you tons!!! xo
